Coming soon: Sand Lords!

For a long time I've had to keep this under wraps, but I've been working on a multiplayer strategy game called "Sand Lords" for Geek Beach.

The game will be released on iOs and Android in the very near future, but you can play an early version on Facebook now!

Now that the game is due out I'll be posting various bits of art and behind the scenes stuff about the game again soon.

Have fun,
David

"Joss Whedon's Dream Team" editorial illustration for SciFiNow Magazine by David Cousens

"Joss Whedon's Dream Team" - Editorial illustration for SciFiNow Magazine by David Cousens.

Out in stores now, SciFiNow Magazine issue 84 features comments from Joss Whedon and the stars of the new Agents of Shield TV series about what we can look forward to from the upcoming show.

It also includes a celebration of some of Whedon's many strong supporting characters in a humorous article by Jodie Tyley, including a trading card style scoring system about her personal picks for a Joss Whedon Dream Team! This is the illustration I provided for it.

You can see more about SciFiNow on their website and follow SciFiNow on Twitter

Greeting cards for a great cause!

Reposted from Creative Bloq

Illustration collective The Mighty Pencil have produced a series of artistic greeting cards to help a cause close to their hearts. And the designs are truly brilliant...

The cards created aim to raise funds for Mees and his trip to Florida
Illustration collective The Mighty Pencil once had one of the best Tumblr blogs for designers before launching their bona fide website a few months ago. We're big fans of their work here at Creative Bloq, so when we heard about their latest project for an issue close to their hearts, we just had to share it with you.
The two-year-old son of a member of The Mighty Pencil - Jan Wennekes - has developed cancer. It's has been decided that he would be best going to The Florida Proton Institute in Jacksonville, Fl, USA for radiation therapy. A lot of the medical expenses are being covered, but Mees' parents need more to make this happen.
And that's where The Mighty Pencil come in. Producing a set of 24 greetings cards, 100% of the retail price will go to Mees' foundation. They have funded the production themselves, with the printers Ripe Digital also donating to the cause. Once the foundation target has been met, the collective will continue selling these cards to help other families going through the same experience.
