Testing the Cintiq...

Apologies for not posting much recently, Sarah and I have almost finished our first book for Kingfisher/Macmillan, so that's taking up most of our time. I finally invested in a Cintiq the other day, I was really hoping that I could improve my workflow by pencilling straight into Photoshop, but was concerned that it may take some practice. I needn't have worried, drawing on it is a dream! This was my first test sketch which I thought I'd share with you...

Brilliant! I want one! Though I think I need to know how to handle a pencil first.

Which one did you get? I've been looking at them for a while...

How hot does it get? I used one of the old ones at work until my hand was burning up from the heat.

Jase: the 21X, tis lovely. It does get warm after a while, but not uncomfortably hot though. If you're considering one, I'd edorse it wholeheartedly.

Davey boy, I salute you! I need a Cintiq so bad it hurts! You're living the dream!

Do it Ste, trust me. It really speeds up your work rate--and seeing how fast you are already, that'd be saying something! I know it's expensive but it pays for itself so quickly!
